Pleasure, I'm Dr. Delane Cavalcante and I've dedicated myself entirely to Plastic Surgery for over 20 years. I have been passionate about art since an early age, I was a classical dancer until I was 16 when I also took piano lessons, but I only discovered singing in adulthood. All the paintings in my parents' living room were made by me, maintaining this tradition to this day, I painted the painting in my living room too.
I always wanted to be a doctor and in my second period of medicine, when I attended plastic surgery for the first time, I chose the specialty because I could apply to my patients all the gift of art that God gave me. I arrived in Rio de Janeiro at a very young age and today I am a Carioca at heart, in love with the wonderful city that welcomed me with open arms, where I had my daughters and where I did all my training in medicine, general surgery and plastic surgery at the Hospital Federal da Lagoa where today I am a proud staff member, able to teach at the same hospital where I learned.
In 2000 I became a specialist member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery and in 2007 a Full Member, at the time being one of the youngest surgeons to hold the title. Today I feel honored to increase the number of women doctors - surgeons and to make people happy with my work.
